The New York Times recently published a slideshow from an assignment I did in one of my favorite Alabama towns, Monroeville. I photographed the Monroeville Players performance of To Kill a Mockingbird. With its deep literary roots as the hometown of Harper Lee and part-time childhood home of Truman Capote, this reminds me of growing up in the childhood home of Willa Cather. Lately there has been a lot of buzz about Lee’s upcoming novel Go Set a Watchman.
